Pascale van Zantvliet
postdoctoral researcher
I am Pascale van Zantvliet, and joined the Youth Education & Life Skills community as a postdoc and project member. I have always had a passion for education and have taught at secondary school, hbo and university.
In my research, I aspire to combine insights from sociology, pedagogy and educational science, and take a participatory approach. I am fascinated by the way people collaborate, and especially how they do so in diverse contexts. What opportunities and challenges does this bring and what can we learn from this (both at the individual and contextual level)? In the context of education, I study whether and how collaborative learning can be helpful in teaching youth the skills needed in a diverse society, such as perspective taking and conflict resolution.
I am excited to foster (new) collaborations between researchers, professionals and youth on the topic of youth education and life skills, and thereby contribute to inspiring, valuable education. Read more
