Student- or Research assistant
You are warmly invited to apply for a student assistant position for about 4 hours of work per week for the Early Childhood community of the strategic theme ‘Dynamics of Youth’.
Within Utrecht University’s research theme Dynamics of Youth, scientists from all fields of expertise study how young people develop in our rapidly changing society. Dynamics of Youth comprises four communities, focussing on different developmental areas.
The Early Childhood community specifically concentrates on the study of typical and atypical developmental trajectories in children, spanning from conception to 6 years of age. Our objective is to foster a closely-knit community of researchers and collaborative partners who share a vested interest in this domain.
The responsibilities associated with this position encompass:
- Assisting in maintaining an active social media presence.
- Providing support during workshops and events.

Gross salary and hours:
Depends on assistant’s educational level, conform the salary scales (SA for student-assistant or scale 5 for research assistant). Note that the hours will be flexible (depending on our needs and your schedule), averaging 4 hours per week.
The ideal candidate would have some combination of the following skills or qualities:
- Excellent command of the English or Dutch language
- Level of written proficiency in both English and Dutch at least B2
- Interest in interdisciplinary research, with a focus on child development from conception until 6 years of age
- Experience with PR, social media and/or communication
- Experience with event organisation and/or hosting
